Microsoft is relaunching it's Live search engine as Bing. Now, this is certainly not the first time that Microsoft has tried to tap into Google's dominance of the search space.

Launched two weeks ago, Bing has the backing of a $100,000,000 campaign push behind it. For the first week in June, Bing has increased it's market share from 9.1% to 11.1%.

Overall, the early reviews for Bing are not that unfavorable. I'll continue to watch the evolution of Bing, and will run some test campaigns to see for myself if there's enough traffic and response to make it worth putting time into.

My early feeling is Bing will prove to be real competition to Google and will pass Yahoo! for second place in the search engine pecking order.
