You couldn't leave well enough alone, could you?

Well, we'd rather you didn't know them, but here you have it:

10 Dirty Secrets of the JKBedrin Marketing Group

We share with you ten of the skeletons we have lurking in our closet:

1. We cannot predict the future!

While we are always on the lookout for new trends, we simply can’t predict the future. We can guess what we think will happen and probably should happen.

But we don’t have a crystal ball.

Marketing involves people making decisions based on all sorts of rational and irrational reasoning. People don’t normally change overnight. Usually, trends develop over time.

Therefore, we track and measure all of your marketing efforts and react in real time to what people are doing. We have found that if you stay in constant contact with your customers you can stay one step ahead them. By anticipating the changing times, you will be there waiting as your customers values, concerns and problems change.

2. We can’t do it without you!

We need your input and your knowledge of your market. We try to get you to look at your business from different angles. But in the end, we need your vision and knowledge to create the best campaign possible.

In the end, it is your vision that we are presenting to the world. It’s your vision that makes your company special and it’s your vision that separates you from your competition.

All we do is present your vision in a way that is easily understood. If only it were as easy as it sounds!

3. We don’t have MBA’s in marketing!

Our marketing knowledge comes from our own experience in the business world, from studying other successful marketers, and from working with other companies these last few years.

We are not slaves to the latest theories. Over a hundred years of real-world testing and experimentation has shown what works best and what is a waste of money.

We believe you cannot afford to pay for the “branding” mania that is so rampant in marketing today. The ultimate judge of the success of your marketing is the number and quality of the sales you make. If you use materials that accurately reflect your company’s vision, your brand will have created itself.

4. What worked yesterday may not work tomorrow!

Even if we are able to develop a winning campaign, there is no guarantee how long it will last. Certainly you want to use and re-use the campaign for as long as it is profitable. But you need to continually measure the results. Even the best campaigns eventually run out of steam.

Please be diligent in measuring your campaigns so you don’t run what once was a winning campaign at a loss.

5. We ask for help if we need it!

We are not experts at everything. We are pretty good at developing and implementing direct-response strategies to get your marketing going. If you have a need that we can’t do effectively and efficiently, we’ll bring in an expert.

Our goal is to make sure your marketing produces the best results possible. If that means someone else doing a part of it – so be it.

6. We steal ideas from others!

Some of our ideas have been borrowed from others. There have been a lot of people putting good money and brain power into testing millions of ideas.

So why reinvent the wheel?

We look for methods, strategies and ideas that have been proven to be successful in the real world on real people. Then we apply these techniques to your particular situation. This is no guarantee that the strategies will work for you.

But they should.

7. We don’t know it all!

Every day we learn something that we didn’t know the day before. With every new project, we learn a little bit more. We hope you are doing the same.

We take courses, buy reports and continually study other successful marketers. We scour the latest marketing and sociology trade journals.

We are constantly on the lookout for new trends in sales, politics, culture and other areas. While we’re suspicious of new fads, we don’t dismiss them out of hand.

We will never be done learning about the art and science of marketing.

8. We’re in it for the money!

This isn’t a charity we’re running. We want to make some money.

No. Make that: A LOT of money. And we’re not ashamed to admit it.

We want a lot of money for several reasons.

For one, it is a concrete representation of our value to you and businesses like yours. The more money we generate for you, the more we can charge for our service in the future. The more we are charging, the more we are helping.

But the big reason we like money is that it allows you the freedom and independence to live life on your terms. Don’t get me wrong, we love the feeling of success and the joy of helping others achieve their goals. But we believe you can do a lot more good in the world when you have the power and freedom that financial independence brings.

And we believe there’s nothing more gratifying than that!

9. We are not always right!

Not every project we are involved with is a resounding success.

We take great pains to give your project the best chance to succeed as possible. Despite all of our research, the proven techniques and strategies do not work one hundred percent of the time.

That’s just the way marketing goes.

We recently experimented with an insert advertising ourselves. 4,000 people were mailed a variety of our inserts along with inserts for other companies. The results: not one response! Ouch. Safe to say, that experiment was only good to show what NOT to do in the future. But our financial investment was not very large and we did get a database of names and addresses for our troubles. So it wasn’t a total loss.

We want to create a winning campaign. That's why we test and let smaller numbers of people determine what the majority will do. Once you've got yourself a proven winner, then you spend big money pushing it.

10. We believe that "sales" are more important than "marketing"!

The purpose of marketing is to generate sales.

If money is tight and the choice is a marketing person with some sales experience OR a good salesman with some marketing experience – GET THE SALESMAN!

Hopefully you are not in a situation where you have to decide between the two. But, hey, it happens. Especially with new businesses that are under-capitalized.

Your marketing department should be leading a steady stream of prospects to your sales staff. Your marketing should be generating a steady stream of backend orders to your company. All pieces of your marketing that are not justifying their expenses can be dropped.

Replace any deadweight with material that gives you a good return on your investment.

11. We (almost) always add an extra item to our lists!

We believe in under-promising and over-delivering. When you work with us, we look at your company as part of our company. We throw ourselves whole-heartedly into every project we take on – regardless of the size. We will do whatever it takes to deliver the BEST service we can to your company.

Nobody’s perfect. But amazing feats can be accomplished when motivated people work together to achieve a common goal.

There you have it. The skeletons are out of the closet. Now that they are out in the open, they don’t look quite so bad. If you can handle them and would like to set up a FREE consultation to discuss your marketing and business’s goals, call 570-756-2945 to set up an interview.
